TikTok – TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. TikTok operates in more than 150 countries and has already surpassed the sweet 1 billion users mark. Their mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy to the world.

Microsoft is negotiating to Buy TikTok’s US version

TikTok is already banned in India. The U.S and Australia are considering banning it as well. TikTok is under a lot of Scrutiny from the U.S government and things are not getting easier. The hit video app has already been banned in India where it had 120 monthly users as of June 2019.

Launched in September of 2016 as Douyin in China under its parent company Byte Dance, TikTok’s growth has been nothing but phenomenal. Its parent company Byte Dance also owns Toutiao, a popular Chines AI powered news aggregator platform.

In November of 2017,Byte Dance acquired Musical.ly for $ 1 billion and it merged both TikTok with Musical.ly in august 2018.
